It’s not a secret that Kyrgyzstan has a lot of beautiful places to visit. Ala Archa gorge is one of these.

The gorge is located 40 km from Bishkek and is ideal for people who decided to travel to Kyrgyzstan. It offers wide range of activities for those who like easy hiking and want just to make a good photo of majestic mountains. However, it’s also perfect for those who prefer hiking trips. The gorge gives a chance to experience the greatness of Tian Shan mountains and get your piece of adventure.

The trip includes visiting famous place among alpinists – the Razek Hut where most of the expeditions to 5000+ m peaks start. Thus choosing this tour in Kyrgyzstan you get double benefit – hiking along the scenic path, seeing the waterfall and the chance to ascend to Uchitel (Teacher) peak 4 535 m located nearby.

You will accompanied by a professional guide who will give you safety lessons and make sure that you will get on the top of the peak safe and sound :)

Be ready to see not only snow-peaked mountains. The fauna is very reach there as well. Mountain goats, squirrels and ground squirrels – all of them can be seen at arm's length. You might even see a snow leopard – who knows? Still there are some of them in region though they usually stay high in the mountains.

So, if you don’t have much time and stay in Bishkek for weekend – the tour is the best choice.

Itinerary

Day 1 

8:00 We meet near the office of Ak-Sai Travel (Ibraimov st. 113/2), we begin to get acquainted with each other).

8:20 Start drive to Ala-Archa National Park, it will take us about 30-40 minutes.

9:00 Arrival to Ala-Archa camp (2100 m), rest, time to make some good photos.

9:20 Ascent to hut of Razek (3200 m). The way is far and quite difficult, along Ak-Sai gorge, but we must overcome it! The distance from the Campsite to the Hut is about 6.5 km, we think that you will overcome the distance and more). The ascent takes from 5 hours or more, depending on the level of physical condition.

11:20 As we passed through the forest, we climb to the “Broken Heart” panorama, rest, enjoy a stunning view of the gorge.

12:00 We rise to the Tepshi plateau, here you can take a break, drink water, then move on, a descent to the Shyrkarytma river is ahead.

12:30 After rising from the river, the trail becomes flat and leads to the site, where we will have a snack before further climbing. (Snacks should be taken with you).

13:00 Stop at a 20-meter waterfall. We enjoy the nature, make memorable photos. Rested and gaining strength, we continue to rise.

15:00 “End of pushing”, accommodation in a hut, relax, share experiences.

18:00 Dinner.

Day 2

7:00 Of course nobody do not want to get up so early, but in order to conquer the summit, it is necessary! We have breakfast and a little time for training and preparation.

8:00 We leave on a route. The guide talks about the rules of movement and safety measures. It is important to follow the instructions of the guide!

13:00-14:00 We are on top !!! We enjoy the panorama, make memorable photos, and begin the descent down.

16:30 We return to the hut of Razek. Having a little rest and lunch, we begin the descent to the alpine camp, where a transfer to the city awaits us.

19:00 The last day point – Ak-Sai Travel
