Day 1. Airport – Bishkek city. Bishkek city – Ala Archa canyon – Bishkek city (120 km / 2,5 hours).

Meeting at the airport with local team and transfer to the city. Early check-in is included. Little rest at the breakfast area and start tour in Bishkek and surroundings.
Firstly, we drive to the natural park Ala Archa for light walk, relaxing and meeting Kyrgyzstan nature. After walk transfer back to Bishkek and have a light half day city tour. Visit Ala Too Square, Kurmanzhan Datka Monument, main governmental buildings, Old Square with Parliament House and Lenin’s Monument.

Day 2. Bishkek city – Chon Kemin Valley (170 km / 3 hours).

After breakfast, one-hour drive to Burana Tower (UNESCO site) near Tokmok town.

After excursion, drive to Chon Kemin valley. Upon arrival, get accommodated in the guest house “Ashuu”. Lunch.

After breakfast, drive to Issyk Kul Lake via Boom gorge and to the Northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake.

1) Open air Petroglyphs site.
2) Local historical museum or Rukh Ordo complex.
After excursions, drive to the hotel and get accommodation in the resort area on the shore of Issyk Kul lake.

Day 4. Cholpon Ata town – Karkara valley (200 km / 3-4 hours).

Continue drive along the north shore of Issyk Kul Lake.
Today we reach beautiful area at the border with Kazakhstan – Karkara. Here we stop at the luxury yurt camp with private facilities.
Here we have time to explore the area walking along the canyon up and down, climb up closest hills to see panoramic view or just sit by the river with a nice book. Up to you and your preferences.

Day 5. Karkara valley – Karakol town (120 km / 3 hours).

Transfer to Karakol town.
En route visit Tepke horse farm. Lunch and excursion around the farm.
Here we see local racing horses, admire views, bone fire place and gardens.
Continue drive after excursion to Karakol town.
Visit Museum of N. M. Przhevalski on the way to Karakol, then Dungan mosque a unique building in a style of the Chinese pagoda which is functioning mosque up to now and Russian Orthodox Holy Trinity Church built of wood inside Karakol town.

Day 6. Karakol town – Djety Oguz gorge – Barskoon and Skazka canyons – Kadji Sai village (220 km / 5 hours).

After breakfast, drive to Djety Oguz gorge to admire the landscapes and to take some photos.
At the beginning of the gorge you will face a famous “Broken Heart Rock”. Walking up further to panorama you will see those famous Seven Bulls rocks. Then we drive to Barskoon gorge for excursion to famous waterfalls – “Beard of the Wiseman” and “Cup of Manas”. Lunch picnic.
After excursion drive to Skazka gorge to see beautiful panorama of Issyk Kul from the gorge.
Evening arrival to Kadji Say village.

Day 7. Kadji Sai village – Bishkek city (300 km / 5,5 hours).

Arrival to Bishkek. Check-in to hotel and free time till dinner.

After a restful morning and breakfast at the hotel we drive around 40 km out of Bishkek to Ala Archa National Park.

It is a popular place for picnics, hikes, rock climbing and alpinism. You can go for a walk on the paved road along the river (1 hour – easy level) or hike up to the mountains to get a spectacular view of the gorge.

If you are in a reasonable state of health you can hike up to the waterfall (3.75 km – 2.5-3 hours one-way, medium level of difficulty). For this hike you need proper trekking shoes. Walking sticks are advisable.

Lunch included in the park or local café.

In the afternoon we head out on a sightseeing tour of Bishkek, which includes the Monument of Kyrgyz National hero Manas, Kurmanjan Datka and Lenin monuments, Oak Park, the State historical museum and the main governmental buildings that is our legacy of the Soviet Union. A sightseeing tour of Bishkek comes to an end at the Victory Square dedicated to the WWII (1-2 hours for the city tour, easy walk, light shoes required).

Burana Tower (ancient minaret) is located in 12 km far from Tokmok town. The territory where the tower is located was called Balasagyn. This town had the strategic meaning for the Great Silk Road. Here you will see a small museum with exhibits found at excavations, providing more details about this ancient settlement, and become familiar with collection of Balbals, Turkic grave marks. (Excursion takes approx. 1-hour, simple walk, but good shoes required as it’s dusty and little climbing to the tower up along the steep stairs).

Optionally: horseback riding games at the Don Aryk village, near Burana Tower complex.

Further drive to Chon Kemin valley which is a unique natural complex with a diverse flora and fauna and many picturesque landscapes, from semi-deserts to glaciers.

Spend some time in the morning at your disposal, have breakfast and continue our journey. Next destination is Son Kul Lake.

Alpine Lake Son Kul is located in Tien Shan range at the altitude of 3016 m. During the summer Son Kul pasture is considered to be the best Kyrgyz jailoo. The road to the lake goes through the windy mountain passes, over 3500 m and get down to the level of the lake.

En route we stop for lunch in Kochkor village and spend some relaxing time.

Drive further to Son Kul. Our way goes through the spectacular Kilemchi valley, over the pass Kalmak Ashuu (3400 m asl) and around the lake to the south shore where our yurt camp is waiting for us. Accommodation in the yurt camp (up to 4 people).

Day 4. Son Kul lake.

Full day at Son Kul lake. Full meal board.

After breakfast take easy hiking to the closest hill from where a panoramic view opens up. On the way it’s possible to hunt for petroglyphs as the ancient dynasties left some carvings on the stones of the wide area. (Level of difficulty is medium, walking on grass, no rock climbing, gentle way up, good walking shoes required. The altitude of the area makes any hike challenging. Walking time 2-4 hours).

After lunch you are free to choose more hiking in the different directions, or go down to the lake, relax (swim if you want), or visit local nomads and test their famous hospitality and try local milk products (be careful with fermented mare’s milk). Also, here such options like horseback riding games and yurt settling up demonstration are available for extra charge.

Day 5. Son Kul lake – Tash Rabat caravanserai (280 km / 5-6 hours).

Another driving day to Tash Rabat yurt camp over the most mountainous province of Kyrgyzstan – Naryn. Naryn is known for some of the best meat and traditional Kyrgyz dishes in the country. The way to Naryn we take over “33 Parrots” pass and enjoy the incredible photo stop at the top. Close to the noon time reach Naryn town.

Wasting no time and continue of drive to Tash Rabat yurt camp. Admire picturesque landscapes on the way we reach Kara Koun gorge and get accommodated at the yurt camp not far from the famous caravanserai (about 3000 m asl). Here we have free time to look around and do short walks along the canyon before dinner (simple walks, walking shoes required, 1-2 hours, climbing only if you’d like).

Day 6. Tash Rabat caravanserai – Kel Suu lake (300 km / 6-7 hours).

Today we start from visit to Tash Rabat caravanserai that is situated a little bit further deep in the canyon. Short drive after breakfast and start excursion. Its origin is a complete mystery; however, there is a hypothesis that it was built in 10th century. Researchers consider it to be a Nestorian monastery, others suppose it to be a victualing-house for the trade caravans, and third ones insist on its defensive function. It is obviously clear that during the various epochs Tash Rabat caravanserai had different functions (40 min excursion, good walking shoes required, cool inside – jackets are advisable).

After excursion drive to Kel Suu tent camp.

Lunch en route.

The road goes back to the Naryn town and turned right to the deep country side. Distance is not so long, but the condition of the road delays arrival. Close to the evening we reach Kel Suu tent camp and get accommodated. Some free time to explore the area around the camp before and after dinner.

Day 7. Kel Suu lake.

Today we visit a secret of Kyrgyzstan – Kel Suu lake. Remote even by Kyrgyzstan standards, magnificent Kel Suu lake stretches over 10 km through a sheer mountain gorge that reaches nearly to the Chinese border. It has one unusual feature, in which honor this name was given to it. Kel Suu is translated from Kyrgyz as “incoming water”. And indeed, sometimes the lake disappears, flowing into underground caves and grottoes, and therefore before going there, you need to know that not always you can catch the lake.

The way to Kel Suu from the camp takes some time. You can walk or drive up to the lake as it takes a while (2-3 hours one way). Level of difficulty only prescribed by the altitude (3200-3300 m asl), walking terrain is not challenging, but you need proper walking boots. Spend full day in the area, have lunch boxes on the lake and enjoy the exploration of the secret areas of Kyrgyzstan.

Day 8. Kel Suu lake – Naryn town (200 km / 5-6 hours).

Arrival to Naryn town and get accommodated at the local hotel 3*. Refresh after some time at the wild nature and head to a short city tour. Drive along the main and the longest street of Naryn to see local Blue Friday Mosque, Main Square, monument of Turdakun Usubaliev (famous politician, leader of the Communist’s party during the Soviet Union) and the fine art gallery nearby.

Day 9. Naryn town – Bishkek city (350 km / 5 hours).

After breakfast drive back to Bishkek city. The way from Naryn to Kochkor village goes over Dolon pass – strategic road that is going over 3030 m asl, but stays open all year around. Big portion of trading between China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia depends on the availability of Dolon Pass.

Kochkor village is center of handicraft. Here we meet local women cooperation and check their souvenir shop-museum to get understanding of what local people do, how and what does it cost.

After all activities in Kochkor we have another 3-hours’ drive to reach Bishkek city. Arrival and get accommodated at the hotel. Refresh before the last dinner.

Nach dem Spaziergang Rückfahrt nach Bischkek und halbtägige Stadtrundfahrt. Sie sehen die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten und Gebäuden der Hauptstadt.

2.Tag. Bischkek – Tschon Kemin Tal. F,M,A (170 km / 3 Std)

Nach dem Frühstück fahren Sie ins Tschon Kemin Tal via Burana Trum. Schneebedeckte Berge sehen fantastisch aus und inspirieren mit positiven Emotionen.

Ca.nach 1 Stunde Fahrt erreichen Sie den Burana Turm und werden hier über die Geschichte und die Zeit der Karachaniden erfahren.

Optional: Pferdespiele in der Nähe des Turms Burana.

Nach der Exkursion setzen Sie Ihre Fahrt nach Tschon Kemin fort.

Ankunft im GH.

Hier gibt es mehrere mögliche Aktivitäten:

1) Spaziergang durch das Dorf und Begegnung mit den Einheimischen.

2) Reiten auf die nahegelegenen Berge(gegen Aufpreis).

3) Pferdespiele in der Gegend (gegen Aufpreis).

4) Aufbau einer kirgisischen Jurte (gegen Aufpreis).

Abendessen und Übernachtung in einem traditionellen gemütlichen Gästehaus.

3.Tag. Tschon Kemin Tal – Issyk Kul Issyk Kul. F,M,A (180 km / 3 Std)

Nach dem Frühstück fahren Sie zum zweitgrößten Bergsee der Welt –  Issyk Kul See (Nordufer).

Mittagessen in einem Cafe in der Stadt Tscholpon Ata.

Nach dem Mittagessen besuchen Sie die örtlichen Petroglyphen, das Geschichtsmuseum.

Abendessen und Übernachtung in einem Hotel.

 

4.Tag. Issyk Kul – Karkara Tal. F,M,A (200 km / 3-4 Std).

Fortsetzung der Fahrt entlang dem See Issyk Kul.

Der Zielpunkt heute ist der wunderschöne Ort in der Nähe der kasachisch-kirgisischen Grenze  – Karkara. Hier werden Sie in luxuriösen Jurtencamp untergebracht.

Sie haben Möglichkeit die Gegend zu Fuß zu erkunden oder die Schneemobile (mit Fahrer) nutzen um den Panoramablick zu genießen.

Die Schneehöhe in diesem Gebiet beträgt 60 bis 120 cm .

5.Tag. Karkara – Karakol. F,M,A (120 km / 4 Std.).

Transfer nach Karakol.

In der Nähe von Karakol besuchen Sie das Museum des russischen Forschungsreisenden N.M. Prschewalsk. Mittagessen wird in einem örtlichen Cafe in Karakol serviert.

Karakol ist eine kleine, aber sehr interessante Stadt mit ihrer traditionellen russischen Architektur. Eine originelle Sehenswürdigkeit in Karakol ist die chinesische Moschee, die wie ein buddhistischer Tempel aussieht. Ebenfalls ganz aus Holz ist die russisch-orthodoxe Dreifaltigkeitskirche, die 1896 erbaut wurde und in einem Rosengarten liegt. Sie wurde in den 90er Jahren restauriert.

Abendessen bei einer dunganischen Familie. Übernachtung im Gästehaus.

6.Tag. Karakol – Dzheti Ogus Schlucht – Bokonbaevo Dorf – Kotschkor. F,M,A. (250 km / 5 Std).

Nach dem Frühstück fahren Sie zur Djety Oguz-Schlucht. Am Eongang zu der Schlucht sehen Sie die berühmten „Gebrochenes Herz“ und die “Sieben Ogsen”.

Nach einer leichten Wanderung fahren Sie entlang dem Südufer des Issyk Kuls ins Dorf Bokonbaevo. Mittagessen bei einer kirgisischen Familie. Nach dem Mittagessen sehen Sie eine Adlerjagd-Demonstration. Eine solche Vorführung im Winter ist einzigartig, da die Vögel für die Jagdsaison in bester Verfassung sind und sich sehr wohl fühlen.

Nach der Demonstration fahren Sie weiter ins Dorf Kochkor.

Abendessen und Unterbringung bei einer Gastfamilie.

 

7.Tag. Kotschkor – Bischkek. F,M,A (250 km / 5-6 Std).

Vormittags besuchen Sie eine örtliche Frauenkooperation in Kotschkor, und sehen, wie die Frauen die Filzprodukte herstellen.  Das örtliche Souvenirshop-Museum ist eines der beliebtesten in unserem Land.

Rückfahrt nach Bischkek via Kuvaky Pass und zugefrohenen Wasserreservoir Orto Tokoj.

Mittagessen unterwegs.

Nach der Ankunft in Bischkek können Sie den Osch Basar besuchen.

1.Tag Bisсhkek. (F)

Ankunft am internationalen Flughafen Manas. Transfer zum Hotel in Bischkek.  Early Check in.

Gegen Mittag treffen Sie im Hotel die anderen Teilnehmer der Gruppe und erkunden Sie die Stadt. Sie sehen die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten und Gebäuden der Hauptstadt. Anschließend tauchen Sie in das farbenfrohe Treiben des Osch-Basars ein.

Übernachtung im Hotel.

 

2.Tag Bischkek – Tscholpon Ata. (F)

Heute fahren Sie zum Issyk Kul See.

Ihr erster Halt ist der archäologische Komplex – Burana Turm bei Tokmok. Das ist ein altes Minarett und wurde in der Karakhanidenzeit gebaut. Hier können Sie mehr über die Seidenstraße erfahren und Sie sehen auch eine sehenswerte Sammlung von Balbals-Steinfiguren.

Nachmittages geht es weiter zum Issyk Kul See. Der See ist umgeben von hohen Gebirgsketten und wird aufgrund seiner landschaftlichen Schönheit auch die Perle Zentralasiens genannt.  Im Sommer erreicht die Wassertemperatur 20-23 Grad.

In der Stadt Tscholpon Ata besuchen Sie das Freilichtmuseum von Petroglyphen.

3.Tag Tscholpon Ata – Karakol. (F)

4.Tag Karakol – Dzheti Ogus Schlucht – Skazka Canyon – Bokonbaewo (F,M,A)

Nach dem Frühstück fahren Sie zur Dzheti Ogus Schlucht, wo Sie eine leichte Wanderung unternehmen können.

Am Eingang der Schlucht sehen Sie das berühmte “Gebrochenes Herz” und die “Sieben Ogsen”, was auf kirgisischisch “Dzheti Ogus” bedeutet.

 

Nach einer kurzen Wanderung fahren Sie weiter entlang der Südküste des Issyk Kuls zum Dorf Bokonbaevo. Unterwegs besuchen Sie noch einen interessanten Ort – Skazka Canyon.

Ankunft im Bokonbaevo. Der Ort fasziniert mit herrlichen Landschaften.

Abendessen und Übernachtung bei einer Gastfamilie.

5.Tag Bokonbaewo – Tasch Rabat Karawanserei (F,A)

Nach dem Frühstück fahren Sie zum Dorf Kotschkor. Sie werden eine Frauenkooperative besuchen, wo Sie über dem nationalen Teppich erfahren werden. Weiterfahrt zum Tasch Rabat.

Tasch Rabat liegt auf einer Höhe von 3200 m ü. M. In den Nähe von chinesischen Grenze (Torugart). Sein Ursprung ist ein völliges Rätsel, aber es gibt eine Hypothese, dass es im 10. Jahrhundert gebaut wurde.

Unterbringung in einem Jurtencamp.

(Fahrzeit 5-6 h, 360 km).

 

6.Tag Tasch Rabat – Song Köl See (F,A)

Heute fahren Sie zum zweitgrößten Bergsee des Landes über die Stadt Naryn. Naryn ist eine kleine und typisch kirgisische Stadt, die entlang einem der größten und gleichnamigen Fluss liegt. Diese ist die einzige Stadt in Kirgisistan, wo 90 % der Bevölkerung Kirgisen sind.

Der Song Köl liegt auf einer Höhe von 3016 M und gilt als die beste kirgisische Sommerweide. Der Weg zum See führt über die windigen Bergpässe und verschwindet am Himmel.

Nach der Ankunft Werden Sie in einem Jurtencamp untergebracht.

7.Tag Song Köl See – Bischkek (F) 

Heute fahren Sie zurück in die Hauptstadt des Landes.

In Bischkek können Sie nochmal den Markt Osch und das Kaufhaus ZUM besuchen, wo Sie verschiedene Souvenirs kaufen können.
