Ala Archa State Nature park is located about 40km from Bishkek city and an excursion can take half a day. There are glaciers and alpine meadows, snowcapped peaks and cliffs, rivers and forests all types of landscapes in one place. You can hike along the river in the main gorge, or up to the waterfall. The park is also famous for its Alpinists cemetery and Ratzek Alpinism school.
The walking sightseeing tour in the center of Bishkek starts at Ala Too Square. During the tour you can see the main governmental buildings (White House and Parliament), State History Museum, Statue of Lenin and monument of Manas the national hero. Then continue to Victory Square across Oak park and passing by Opera and Ballet Theatre. The tour finishes at Osh Bazaar typical oriental market.
The Burana Tower is a large minaret in the Chui Valley in northern Kyrgyzstan. It is located about 80 km east of the country's capital Bishkek, near the town of Tokmok. The tower, along with grave markers, some earthworks and the remnants of a castle and three mausoleums, is all that remains of the ancient city of Balasagun, a city that was established by the Karakhanids at the end of the 9th century. An external staircase and steep, winding stairway inside the tower enables visitors to climb to the top.
