Over 85% of Kyrgyzstan is above 1000 m and 40% of the territory is above 3000 m. This relief was formed by two mountain systems Pamir and Tien-Shan. Average altitude of Kyrgyzstan is 2500 m. Three summits of Kyrgyzstan are higher than 7000 m. They are: Lenin Peak (7134 m) in the Pamirs, and Pobeda Peak (7439 m) and Khan-Tengri (7010 m) in the Tien-Shan.
