The road of snow leopards (trekking to the Ak-Sai glacier)

Description

An adventurous two days tour to the national Ala Archa park. There you will enjoy the fascinating view of the great Tien  Shan Mountain.

This tour is great opportunity to enjoy the glory of  Tien – Shan Mountain. You will have an incredible adventure through the plateaus to the foothills of the “Uchitel” Peak. There you also will see a waterfall and a cliff called “Broken Heart”. As a result you will get incredible emotions, breath fresh mountainous air and relax.

Itinerary

Day 1. Bishkek city – Ala Archa gorge (45 km / 1 ,5 hours).

Meet your guide and driver at 9 am at the place agreed beforehand in Bishkek city.
Today we head to Ala Archa canyon for a nice challenging trekking.
It takes 1,5 hours to reach the area of the old alpine camp, where all cars park and where all walks, hikes and treks starts. Get ready, put your gears on and go!
The way turns left from the main road and lead to the forest and then up on the hill, along the slope to the high altitude camp – “Light house”. Among the others the way to Light House is one of the most challenging.
We can set the main points on the way:
Alpine camp – “Broken heart” – Tepshi plate – Sharkyratma plateau – Waterfall – Light house.
Duration: 5-6 hours one way.
Please don’t forget to have lunch picnic (not included) on the way up. Evening arrival to the Light House. Take your place inside the House and relax after nice trekking. Dinner is included. Overnight.

Day 2. Ala Archa gorge – Bishkek city (45 km / 1 ,5 hours).

Breakfast between 8-9 am. Half of the day to spend around the area. The guide will take you to the saddle of the Uchitel peak to take interesting pictures and enjoy the nature of the glaciers. Lunch in the Light House (included) around 1 pm.
After lunch we start the way down to the parking lot. 3 hours takes to reach the previous day start point. 6 pm meet the driver and head to Bishkek city. We will be in Bishkek not later than 7 pm. You will be taken to the address agreed beforehand.

Useful things to take with you:

1. Wind-stopper
2. Warm/waterproof jacket
3. Personal first aid kit
4. You may want to have walking sticks
5. A flask for water.
6. Sunglasses.
7. Photo camera.
8. A backpack.
9. Sun-screen cream (30 or higher).

 Necessary things to take with you:

1. Hat (remember – the sun could be violent).
2. Good trekking boots for hiking in the mountains
3. Long sleeves shirt and trousers (no shorts or topics).
4. General warm clothes.
