Below you will find the list of necessary equipment that you may need during travelling in Kyrgyzstan. We tried to include in the list everything that could be useful. The list may vary due to the difficulty of the tour. Pls. check your program accordingly. For example: if you booked a cultural tour you won’t need sleeping bag or walking sticks etc.
- Suitcase, backpack or soft traveling bag
- Small daypack (at least 25 Litre) for rain gear, camera, sweater, water bottle etc. during the cross-country trips or day trips.
- Lightweight thin clothing for hot days, shoulders and knees should be covered (for visits)
- Warm clothing for the evenings
- Rain and wind-resistant clothing (jackets, Gore-Tex jackets, poncho, fleece, etc.)
- Combinable Outerwear
- Slippers
- Sneakers or similar lightweight footwear for walking tours and visits
- A second, lightweight pair of shoes for the trip, possibly sandals (summer)
- First aid kit
- Toilet paper on the go
- 2 copies of important travel documents (passport, e-ticket receipt, insurance policy etc.)
- International vaccination certificate, 2 passport photos (in case you lose during your travel documents)
- Foreign health insurance, contact number / medical insurance number (if you go to mountaineering expeditions of trekking tour. Insurance for cultural trip is not obligatory but it’s always good to have one if you travel abroad)
- Money belt, leg or chest belt bag
- Cap or hat for sun protection
- Sunglasses
- Sun protection cream or lotion with a high SPF (at least 20)
- Mosquito repellent
- Enough spare batteries (with recharger)
- Travel literature
- Small Russian-German phrasebook
- Flash light (torch)
- Walking sticks, if you are going on a hike (up to you)
- A flask of water (at least 2 litters), wich should be easily accessible when you hike.
- Swimming suite (for Issyk-Kul)
- Note pad and a pan to make notes as you travel
