1. How do I get to Kyrgyzstan?
Most travelers arrive via Manas International Airport in Bishkek or Osh Airport. There are direct and connecting flights from major hubs like Istanbul, Dubai, Moscow, and Tashkent.
If you need assistance with flights, Ak-Sai Travel also operates a ticket office where we can help you book international and domestic air tickets, train tickets, and provide travel insurance. Our team will suggest the most convenient routes and connections to fit your travel plans.

2. Do I need a visa to enter Kyrgyzstan?
Over 60 nationalities (including EU, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea) can enter Kyrgyzstan visa-free for up to 60 days. For other countries, we provide visa support and invitation letters.
3. What is the local currency and how do I pay?
The local currency is the Kyrgyz som (KGS). You can pay in cash almost everywhere. ATMs are available in cities, but in remote areas we recommend carrying cash. Cards are accepted mainly in Bishkek and Osh.
4. What is the level of accommodation during the tours?
We offer a mix of hotels, guesthouses, yurt and base camps. Staying in a yurt camp is a unique cultural experience, allowing travelers to discover the nomadic lifestyle of Kyrgyzstan while enjoying comfort. Our yurt camps are equipped with cozy sleeping areas, dining yurts with national cuisine, and hot showers/toilets.
For mountaineering expeditions, our base camps at Lenin Peak and South/North Engilchek feature durable tents on wooden platforms, dining facilities, and hot meals to ensure safety and comfort in the high mountains.

5. What is the food like on the tours?
We provide three meals a day during tours and expeditions, including local Kyrgyz cuisine and international dishes. Vegetarian options are available on request.

6. What is the level of difficulty of your tours?
We offer routes from easy cultural tours to challenging expeditions such as Lenin Peak (7134 m) or Khan Tengri (7010 m). Each tour description includes a difficulty rating so you can choose the right program.

Essential items include trekking boots, warm layers, waterproof jacket, sleeping bag, sunscreen, and personal first aid kit. A detailed packing list is provided after booking.

In cities and towns, internet and mobile networks are stable. In remote trekking areas and high camps, there is limited or no signal, but we provide Starlink internet in our camps and satellite phones for safety.

Yes, we require all travelers to have medical and travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking and mountain rescue.
10. Can I combine Kyrgyzstan with other Central Asian countries?
Absolutely. Many travelers combine Kyrgyzstan with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, or Tajikistan. We organize multi-country Silk Road itineraries, including transport, guides, and logistics.
