Meeting at the airport. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Meeting with the guide in the hotel lobby. 

Sightseeing tour: Panfilov Park with the Ascension Cathedral, Green Bazaar (closed on Monday), Central State Museum (closed on Tuesday). Cable car ride to Kok-Tobe hill with panoramic views of the city and mountains.

Overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast. Excursion to Medeo high-altitude sports complex (1691 m), famous for the world’s highest ice-skating rink. Visit the dam and enjoy mountain views.

Ascent by cable car to Shymbulak ski resort (2200–2500 m). Lunch on your own choice. Continue by cable car to Talgar pass (3200 m) for panoramic views of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains.

Return to Almaty. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, transfer (about 1 hour) to the ethno village “Huns”, located in the Talgar district, 40 km from Almaty. This complex is considered the first ethnographic village in Kazakhstan, where visitors can immerse themselves in the history and traditions of the Kazakh people.

Guests can attend a cooking master class on making bauyrsaks (traditional fried dough snacks). The ethno village also offers slides with a drag lift and various Kazakh national attractions. Visitors can learn about local customs, try horseback riding, and practice archery. Lunch in the ethno village is included.

Return to Almaty in the afternoon.

Departure from the hotel and transfer to Charyn Canyon (about 3 hours one way). Charyn Canyon is an amazing creation of nature located within Charyn National Park in the valley of the Charyn River. Formed by natural erosion processes, the canyon features striking reddish sedimentary rocks that are more than 10 million years old.

A walking tour through the canyon offers the chance to admire its unique landscapes. One of the most spectacular sections is the “Valley of Castles”, stretching for about 2 km and up to 80 meters wide. At the end of the walk, you will descend to the Charyn River, where you can relax and have a snack.

In the afternoon, transfer to Saty village, check-in, and overnight.

In the morning, after breakfast, depart to Kolsai Lakes. Kolsai Lakes is a system of three alpine lakes in the northern Tien-Shan, located within the national park of the same name in the Kegen region, about 330 km from Almaty. The lakes are accessible to visitors all year round. The middle lake (Mynzhylgy) is the largest of the three, while the upper lake lies near the border with Kyrgyzstan.

You will visit the lowest of the three lakes. Here you can enjoy an easy walk around the lake and go boating.

In the afternoon, continue to Kaindy Lake.

Kaindy Lake is a truly unique natural formation that appeared relatively recently – in 1911, after a major earthquake near the city of Verny (modern Almaty). In the Kaindy gorge, a natural dam of fallen stones and soil blocked the river, and water began to fill the gorge, forming a beautiful lake. Its uniqueness lies in the coniferous forest that remained at the bottom, now completely hidden under the water.

In the evening, return to the hotel.

Transfer from Kolsai Lakes to Almaty city.

Optionally: evening walk on Panfilov street.

Morning arrival in Almaty by train. Transfer from the railway station to the airport for the return flight home.
