Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a guide and driver. Transfer to Osh and check-in at the hotel.

Your city tour begins with a visit to the sacred Sulaiman-Too Mountain (1175 m) – the heart of the ancient city of Osh. It was the first site in Kyrgyzstan to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Since ancient times, it has been regarded as a sacred place where prayers and rituals have been performed for centuries.

On its slope stands the Babur Mosque, built in the 16th century by the great ruler and commander Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. Today the mosque is an important historical monument and a place of pilgrimage for Muslims.

During the day, lunch and dinner will be served in one of the cozy local cafes. Overnight in a hotel in Osh.

After breakfast, we head to the picturesque village of Uzgurush, located in the country’s youngest region, Batken. This region is famous for its cozy villages, small rice fields and fruit orchards with peaches, apricots, apples, and cherries.

On the way, we will stop in the city of Batken for lunch at a traditional teahouse.

Upon arrival, we will stay in the hospitable home of a local Kyrgyz family, where a home-cooked dinner will await us. In the evening, we will prepare for the upcoming trek.

Important: In the morning, you must pack your belongings into a special backpack provided by Ak-Sai Travel and hand them over to the porters. They will carry your luggage to the next camp, where you will receive it at the end of the day’s trek. (Additional charge for weight over 12 kg per person)

After breakfast, we leave our luggage with the porters and start the day with a walk through the village, heading south. Leaving the village behind, we walk through juniper forests and walnut groves. The trail follows the Buljuma River and climbs to Buljuma Pass (2,900 m).

From the top we have a breathtaking view of the surrounding gorges and the Upanym Pass to the west. We then descend into the valley and stop for lunch at the picturesque Ak-Tash River – a great place to enjoy the scenery and take a break.

After a break we continue along the river and arrive at the camp in the evening, which located on a green meadow in a picturesque gorge reminiscent of scenes from The Lord of the Rings.

After breakfast, we begin our day of trekking, crossing the Ak-Tash River near the tent camp. We move along its bed to the foot of the Dzhalgychy pass (3780 m), where the ascent begins. A zigzag trail gradually leads us to the top of the pass.

From the top, there is an impressive panorama: the Turkestan Range, the western wall of the majestic Pyramidal Peak (5509 m), and the Turo Pass (4525 m).

Next, we descend along the trail into the Dzhalgychy Gorge to the point where it joins an unnamed gorge lying to the southwest. Here, we turn left, cross the unnamed river (sandals will come in handy for this), and climb a small hill. After a short walk, we reach the tent camp, where dinner and overnight accommodation await us.

In the morning we start climbing up the grassy slope between Jalgychy and Kashka-Suu gorges. The trail follows the river, which we will have to cross soon (sandals will come in handy). Then the trail disappears into the juniper thickets and gradually leads us to the pass.

Once we reach the summit, we will walk along the ridge to the other side and enjoy panoramic views of the Orto-Chashma gorge. This picturesque spot will be the perfect place for an outdoor lunch.

Then we descend along a narrow path into the Kashka-Suu gorge, cross the river again and continue to the junction with the Orto-Chashma gorge. At the camp we will have dinner and spend a pleasant evening relaxing in the sauna and admiring the mountain scenery.

In the morning, we set off on a trek through the picturesque valley of the Orto-Chashma River, heading towards the foot of the pass. The ascent follows an easy walking trail through the forest and takes us to the Kosh-Moinok Pass (3260 m).

From the pass, there is a gentle descent, after which you will need to cross the river (it is better to have sandals for this). Next, we begin the ascent to the second pass – Kara-Suu (3760 m). From its summit, there is an impressive panorama of the “ocean” of sharp rocky peaks of the Turkestan Range. Before us tower the “Great Fortresses” – the northwestern edges of the peaks of Kotina (4521 m) and 1000-letiya Kreshchaniya Rusi (4507 m).

We descend to the Kara-Suu River, cross it via a bridge, and walk along the riverbank for several hundred meters to the tent camp. Here we will have dinner and spend the night.

In the morning after breakfast we will leave the camp and return to the Orto-Chashma gorge by the same route. Climbing the Kosh-Moinok Pass we can see the highest pass of the trek – Ak-Tyubek (4300 m).

After the descent we continue our way to the camp. One kilometer before the camp we will come across a small stream that flows into the Orto-Chashma river, and further down an unusual local landmark: a broken military helicopter, a reminder of the events that took place here more than 20 years ago.

After breakfast, we leave the camp and begin our ascent along the Orto-Chashma River. Today is the shortest day of the trek, yet the trail steadily gains altitude throughout.

Along the way, we enjoy magnificent views of the “Asian Patagonia” ridge.

As we approach the Ak-Tyubek camp, we may encounter a shepherd who lives here with his family throughout the summer and sometimes into autumn, until the first snow arrives. Their stone house serves as a home in this remote mountain environment. This is a unique opportunity to witness the lifestyle of Kyrgyz shepherds and experience how they live in the highlands, far from civilization.

Continuing our ascent, we reach the highest tent camp of the entire trek (3790 m).

After breakfast, we begin our ascent to the Ak-Tyubek Pass (4390 m), which offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Iskander Peak area. A clear trail leads to the highest point of the hike.

Once you reach the summit, you can enjoy stunning views of the peaks of Iskander (5120 m), Petrogradets (5165 m), Admiralteets (5090 m), Ak-Suu (5355 m), Alexander Blok (5229 m), and Ak-Tyubek (5125 m).

After that, we descend along the trail to the moraine of the Ak-Tyubek glacier. We cross the moraine to the other side of the gorge and continue trekking along the stream until it joins the Ak-Suu River.

Then we turn right and walk along the bank of the Ak-Suu River to the tent camp. In the evening, we have dinner and spend the night.

In the morning, we set off on a trek to Ak-Suu Peak (5355 m), which is clearly visible from our campsite. The trail leads through a juniper forest and a steep moraine slope of the glacier, right into the heart of the Pamir-Alay.

This pyramidal peak with a majestic snow cap and an almost two-kilometer vertical wall on its northern slope is surrounded by a grandiose cirque, which includes such famous peaks as Iskander (5120 m), Petrogradets (5165 m), Admiralteets (5090 m), Ak-Suu (5,355 m), Alexander Blok (5229 m), and Ak-Tyubek (5125 m).

After the climb, we return to the tent camp via the same route. In the evening, we have dinner and spend the night.

Our journey is coming to an end. In the morning, we will depart for the city of Osh. Lunch is planned along the way.
