Description

Ski touring involves descending and ascending off-piste, on virgin snow and natural mountain terrain. Unlike conventional ski resorts, ski touring offers freedom of choice of route, a sense of wilderness, and the unique thrill of skiing on untouched slopes.

Explore remote areas with a variety of routes, from gentle bowls to steep couloirs and wide ridges.

Hikes of up to 4 hours await you, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the Tien Shan and its majestic landscapes.

Program

Day 1. Bishkek – Karkyra

Arrival in Bishkek and meeting at Manas Airport. After a short rest and baggage check, transfer to Karkyra Camp, located at an altitude of 2,200 meters in a picturesque valley on the eastern border of Kyrgyzstan. On the way, you can enjoy the first views of the majestic mountains, clean mountain air, and picturesque landscapes.

Upon arrival, you will be accommodated in comfortable yurts, equipped with all the amenities you need to relax after your journey.

In the evening, you can enjoy the atmosphere of a winter camp.

Day 2-7. Karkyra

These days, you can go ski touring in the Chaarquduk tract and the Tyup, Tuz and Uch-Kashka gorges. With slopes ranging from 300 to 800 meters in height, you can enjoy active skiing while taking in the picturesque mountain landscapes and pristine nature.

At the Karkyra camp, you will find cozy, heated yurt accommodations and complete comfort, including three buffet-style meals a day and a warm atmosphere for socializing with other tour participants. Every evening, you will have the opportunity to recharge, share your experiences, and enjoy the magic of the mountains.

Day 8. Karkyra – Bishkek

After breakfast, transfer to Bishkek. Upon arrival in the capital, enjoy dinner in a pleasant atmosphere, where you can sum up your trip and share your impressions. After dinner, transfer to Manas Airport for your flight home.

✅ Snowmobile to transport participants to the foot of the slopes and to the Chymyn-Sai pass – (4 times a day)

Not included in the price:

❌ Air tickets
❌ Ski equipment rental
❌ Rental of communication and rescue equipment: avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, ABS backpack
❌ Cost of evacuation in emergencies
❌ Surcharge for single occupancy in a hotel in Bishkek
❌ Cost of visa and consular services (Russian citizens do not need a foreign passport)
❌ Personal expenses
❌ Food and drinks not included in the group menu
❌ Insurance. To participate in the program, it is mandatory to have medical and transport insurance (helicopter flights and downhill skiing/snowboarding must be considered as insured events) for at least USD 30,000. Without presenting an insurance policy, the participant will not be allowed to fly, and the program fee will not be refunded.
❌Additional expenses caused by bad weather conditions, changes in flight schedules, equipment breakdown, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances
❌Payment for excess baggage
❌Payment for individual transfers at times other than those scheduled in the program

Compulsory equipment

A small backpack (preferably with back protection) for freeriding
Helmet and back and shoulder protection
Ski goggles
Sunscreen
Avalanche sensor
Avalanche shovel and probe
Thermos with a hot drink
Personal first aid kit
Ski boots and bindings that fit your gear
Drinking system or water bottle
Small tools and multi-tools for emergencies
Spare batteries for avalanche transceivers and other electronic devices
Navigation devices (compass, GPS) if necessary

Clothing essentials

Ski suit or windproof suit made of Gore-Tex or similar materials
Polartec jacket for extra warmth
Thermal underwear (top and bottom) for regulating body temperature
Beanie, balaclava, or mask to protect your head and face from wind and cold
Warm wool or Polartec sweater
Mittens and gloves, it is recommended to have a spare pair
Ski socks (several pairs, to keep feet dry and warm)

Weather in the skiing area

In the valleys of Chaarkuduk, Tyup, Tuz, and Uch-Kashka, the air temperature usually ranges from -15°C to -20°C, creating stable and ideal conditions for ski touring and freeriding. The cold and dry mountain climate helps preserve fluffy powder snow, making the descents soft and safe.

The clear, frosty air and clear skies offer breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks of Terskey Ala-Too and the surrounding ridges, while the slopes range in elevation from 300 to 800 meters, allowing you to choose routes for any level of skill.
