The World Nomad Games 2026 in Kyrgyzstan – a unique event where ancient traditions meet modern experiences! Exciting competitions such as horseback wrestling, javelin throwing, and horse racing await you, along with cultural shows, workshops, and traditional handicrafts.
On this trip, you can not only experience breathtaking competitions, but also immerse yourself in the atmosphere of nomadic culture: enjoy Kyrgyz cuisine, music, and hospitality.
Day 1. Arrival in Bishkek (30 km / 40 min)

Day 2. Bishkek city tour & Grand Opening Ceremony of the World Nomad Games (30 km / 40 min)
August 31. After breakfast, enjoy a morning city tour of Bishkek.
After the tour, you can visit the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games 2026 (tickets are purchased separately; please check with your manager). It’s a spectacular and unforgettable show: horse riders gallop across the arena, traditional songs and dances of the nomadic peoples of Central Asia fill the air, and a parade of delegations from over 40 countries create a festive atmosphere celebrating the rich nomadic heritage.

Day 3. Bishkek – Burana Tower – Song-Kol Lake (380 km / 6–7 h)
September 1. After breakfast, travel east to the Burana Tower, an 11th-century Silk Road minaret surrounded by mysterious stone warriors (“balbals”).
Continue to Song-Kol Lake (3,016 m), a high-altitude alpine lake where nomadic shepherds still live in yurts and graze their herds.

Day 4. Song-Kol Lake – Kochkor – Oimo Tash (South Shore of Issyk-Kul) (250 km / 5–6 h)
September 2. After breakfast, descend from Song-Kol to the legendary Issyk-Kul Lake, the “Pearl of Kyrgyzstan.”
Arrive at Oimo Tash Yurt Camp, located on the southern shore with stunning views of the Tien-Shan mountains.
Relax by the lakeshore, walk along the shore, or enjoy optional activities:

Day 5. Oimo Tash – Karkyra valley (200 km / 4–5 h)
September 3. After breakfast, travel east to the Karkyra valley, an alpine plateau framed by the Tien-Shan peaks. Known for green meadows, wildflowers, and birch groves, it’s a paradise for nature lovers.
On the way, we will take a sightseeing tour of the scenic “Skazka” (Fairy Tale) Canyon and a city tour of Karakol.
Dinner and overnight at a comfortable mountain lodge/hotel in Karkyra.
Day 6. Karkyra valley – Cholpon-Ata (Issyk-Kul Lake) (200 km / 4–5 h)
September 4. After breakfast, descend from the mountains to Cholpon-Ata, the cultural heart of the Issyk-Kul region. On the way, visit Kyrchyn.
Enjoy a relaxed evening by the lakeshore, preparing for the main events of the World Nomad Games.

Day 7. World Nomad Games in Cholpon-Ata

*Due to the lack of information about the actual process of the World Nomad Games that will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2026, we reserve the right to modify the program as new circumstances appear. The Government, as the main organizing body, does not report on the progress of work and does not announce any information ahead, so the program is preliminary and will be adjusted to the opening and closing ceremony times, entrance tickets, schedule of all sports competitions and cultural performances.
Day 8. Cholpon-Ata – Bishkek (280 km / 5–6 h)
September 6. After breakfast, depart from Cholpon-Ata and drive back to Bishkek via the scenic Boom Gorge, where cliffs rise above the Chu River. Enjoy views of the lake, mountains, and valleys along the way.
Upon arrival in Bishkek, you will be treated to a special farewell dinner featuring traditional Kyrgyz cuisine, accompanied by live folk performances.

You can take all necessary things. Please take into consideration that in spring and autumn, the temperature in Bishkek city reaches up to 30 °C, while in the mountains, the temperature can drop to 0°C in bad weather.
