The Burana Tower is the only architectural structure that has survived to our days from the once majestic ancient city of Balasagun, located 70 km from Bishkek. According to scientists, long time ago here was the ancient city. Some historians believe that this Tower was built in 9th century, while others claim that it appeared even earlier – in the middle of the 8th century.
