Celestial horses of Tien Shan

Description

During this tour you will have a chance to learn more about charming Kyrgyz horses. You will have an excursion around a farm and will plunge into the interesting world of Kyrgyz traditions.

Itinerary

Day 1. Karakol – Tepke village (15 km / 30-40 min).

At 09:00 we pick you up from the place we agree beforehand in Karakol town (it can be a hotel, café, guest house, etc.) and drive apprx.40 min to the horse farm located in Tepke village.

Reina Kench horse farm is located 15 from the Karakol town at the altitude of 1700 m. The owners of farm are breading Kyrgyz type of horses. It will be presentation about Kyrgyz horses for around 1,5 hours.

Lunch in the guest house Reina Kench (included). After lunch free time.

Options to do this day:
1) Excursion around the local horse farm. Learning more about special types of racing horses.
2) Hiking.
3) Renting horses for riding (extra cost).
4) Fishing at Zhyrgalan River (extra cost).
5) Boorsok Show (extra cost).
6) National sport games (extra cost).

Dinner (included) and overnight in the guest house “Reina Kench”.

Day 2. Tepke village – Karakol town (25 km / 1 hour).

After breakfast (08:00 am) drive back to Karakol town.

En route visit Prjevalskii memorial complex. Excursion takes 1,5 hours. Arrival to Karakol town and visit 2 more interesting places: 1) Dungan mosque (20 min). 2) Orthodox Cathedral (30 min). You will be taken by your guide and driver to the address that we agreed beforehand.

Lunch and dinner is not included.
