20th of March: Nooruz on Ala-Too square

In our “Travel Discover Help” project one of the most important events of recent months took place.
We organized and coordinated an excursion for the children from the Ak-Suu orphanage to celebrate Nooruz on the main square Ala Too in Bishkek city.

On March 19, our team went to Teploklyuchenka village, which is in the Issyk-Kul region to bring our children to Bishkek city. In the morning of March 20th we started drive back and stop on the way to have lunch and refresh ourselves to continue our journey. Voenno-Antonovska orphanage kindly hosted the guests. Next morning we went to the holiday.
Nooruz is a multi-national holiday; it is celebrated not only in Kyrgyzstan, but also all over the world.
The purpose of this trip was to introduce the capital to the children from Ak-Suu orphanage, show them the main sights of the city and have fun. The weather was excellent, sun was shining all day. 52 children from Ak-Suu and Voenno-Antonovka orphanages took part in this event.

All the guys really liked our event, especially the children from Ak-Suu. For the next month we planned to take children from Bishkek to Ak Suu village with return visit, where we will have a friendly basketball match. Children are looking forward to the next trip.
