Daytime summer camps.
By established tradition, this summer, there are summer daytime camps within “Travel Discover Help” project, in partnership with Public Foundation “the New Generation of Youth”. And this year we were able to organize and conduct as many as four camps, two in Chui and two in Issyk-Kul region .
The first camp was held in June in the village of Chon-daly, which is located east of Bishkek city. There were 50 children from this village, who were able to take part in the camp, and about 20 volunteers who conducted this camp.
The second camp was organised in the village of Arashan, where 50 children from poor families took part.
In July, our team went to Issyk Kul Lake to places we already knew — the villages of Tyup and Mayak.
The goals of all camps were to give basic knowledge about finances, nurture communication skills, develop creative thinking and organize unbridled fun for children!
The program included several booths:
- “Shop of miracles”, where children could create crafts with their own hands. Bookmarks were embroidered, painted, cut, glued, decorated with beads.
The monitoring of the festival showed that the children were overwhelmed with joy, they participated in the program with great interest, showed their abilities and talents. The main wish of the children was to prolong the festival.
