16th of February: Ethno-complex Supara

The team of the “Travel, Discover, Help” project and the “New Generation of Youth” foundation organized for the children from the Voenno-Antonovka orphanage an excursion to the ethno-complex “Supara” on the last Friday, 16th of February.

The main goal of the excursion was to get acquainted with Kyrgyz traditions and customs. Here we got local guide Gulchoro, who was very active and initiative to open for us all the most interesting facts of the Supara complex. Children were very curious about traditions and regular tools of shepherd’s life. Ak-Sai Travel invited one of the most famous folklore group “Dastan” (Legacy) to demonstrate the way of live music on the traditional instruments like Komuz, Chopo Choor, Oz Komuz and Temir Komuz. Children were very happy to listen and applause at the end of each composition.
