Travel, Discover, Help: A Summer Adventure at Issyk-Kul

Summer is all about vivid emotions, new discoveries, and, of course, long-awaited trips to the lake. On June 26, team at Ak-Sai Travel team, along with the kids, set off on a journey to the pearl of Kyrgyzstan — еhe alpine Lake Issyk-Kul.

The weather graced us with a perfect day: the sky was crystal clear, and the sun offered a warm, gentle heat that set the ideal mood for water adventures.

A Boat Trip and Pure Delight

Our action-packed itinerary kicked off with an unforgettable surprise. We rented a boat to show the children the breathtaking beauty of the lake. Issyk-Kul’s grand scale, its deep blue waters, and the snow-capped mountain peaks on the horizon left everyone spellbound. The kids had a blast snapping photos, laughing, and enjoying the fresh lake breeze.

Special Moment: For our youngest travelers, Amina and Madina, this boat trip was a brand-new experience! Their genuine wonder and pure delight brought a wave of positive energy to the whole group.

Water Fun and Unexpected Hospitality

After our time on the lake, it was time for some wellness. We headed to a neighboring hotel famous for its hot springs. The complex features several thermal pools with varying temperatures. Surprisingly, though, the ultimate hit among the kids was the cool pool filled with fresh Issyk-Kul water! They swam, splashed, and dived with pure joy, escaping the midday heat.

This day was memorable not just for the fun, but also for remarkable encounters. At the front desk, we happened to meet the leaders of a youth Judo school. As we got to talking, we shared details about our project and mentioned that we were taking children from a local orphanage on a day trip. Our story deeply touched the athletes.

Showing incredible generosity and kindness, the school’s leadership decided to treat the kids and covered the entire cost of their lunch. As a result, right after swimming, our hungry and happy group was treated to a fantastic spread at a local café—piping-hot pizza, fresh salads, and refreshing drinks. We extend our deepest, most heartfelt gratitude to these wonderful people for their big hearts and for creating an unexpected celebration for the kids!

You Can Never Have Too Much Swimming!

It seemed our itinerary was complete, but on the way back, the kids unanimously asked for one more stop. As it turned out, the pools weren’t quite enough—they really wanted to feel the authentic Issyk-Kul sand under their feet. We simply couldn’t say no! We pulled over at one of the beaches, where the kids enjoyed one last dip right in Lake Issyk-Kul, putting the finishing touch on their swimming achievements.

The trip turned out to be incredibly warm, vibrant, and genuinely summery. Tired but overflowing with happiness and emotion, the kids returned home right in time for dinner.
