Travel Discover Help – Mountain Hike and Luna Park Playground

We’re excited to share the latest news and highlights from our July outing as part of the Travel, Discover, Help project. In July, we decided to switch things up and split the kids into two separate groups. Our older participants, aged 12 to 18, set off on a real mountain adventure—a full overnight camping trip in the Shamsi Gorge. Long mountain treks are still a bit challenging for the younger ones, as we learned back in May during our trip to the Issyk-Ata Gorge.
We were incredibly lucky with the weather. While the heat back in the city was rising and melting the asphalt, the mountains welcomed us with pleasant cool breezes and fresh alpine air.
For the older kids, this trip was a great test of endurance and a true outdoor survival school. They learned to pitch tents, set up camp, and cook meals over an open fire on their own, showing impressive teamwork and independence. Spending the night under the open sky and a starry mountain canopy delivered feelings that are hard to put into words—a truly unforgettable experience.
The outing turned out to be incredibly atmospheric and heartwarming. We sincerely hope this journey will remain one of the warmest and brightest childhood memories for our kids. Next time, we hope we can all go hiking together, including the younger generation 😊
Of course, we couldn’t leave the little ones without their share of fun either. For them, we organized a trip to the Luna Park playground in Bishkek.
Slides, arcade games, creative workshops, and carousels—everything you need for games and laughter. It was nearly three hours of pure play and excitement until our little ones got tired and hungry. After the playground, we enjoyed a delicious lunch and headed back home—nearly everyone fell fast asleep along the way.
A lot of energy was spent, with plenty of time for endless talks and big hugs. Saying goodbye was hard, but thankfully it won’t be for long—we already have another trip scheduled for August, and this time with an overnight stay. See you all soon!
